Black Friday. Cyber Monday. And now - #GivingTuesday!

Peace Frogs has joined #GivingTuesday – a first of its kind effort that encourages charities, families, businesses, individuals to follow the post-Thanksgiving shopping blitz with efforts to help local communities – and will support the Alzheimer's Association, Gloucester Mathews Free Clinic, Amazon Conservation Team and Multiple Sclerosis Society.

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, just after the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping blitzes, we will donate 10 percent of the online sales of specific t-shirts to those charities named above.

Sales from the classic retro t-shirt will benefit the Amazon Conservation Team (ACT), which works to protect the Amazon rainforest through close collaboration with indigenous communities. To date, the ACT has partnered with more than 30 South American tribes and equipped them with the tools and knowledge to monitor, sustainably manage and protect their traditional forestlands.

"Many groups come to our village, saying they want to help, making promises, then never returning," said Amasina, a Trio Traditional Healer. "ACT comes here, stays here, works here. When we work with ACT, we are working with family."

The "MS Gets On My Nerves" design, launched earlier this year, will support the continued mission of the Central & Eastern Virginia Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

For the more than 5,300 people living with MS within the chapter's service area, "we mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and address the challenges of everyone affected by MS," said the chapter's development manager, Tiffany Epley.

The Peace Frogs #GivingTuesday fundraiser will support MS programs and services including financial assistance, college scholarships, home and auto modifications, durable medical equipment, Kids Camp and research.

Shared sales from the "Love Never Fades" t-shirt, which was designed to raise awareness of dementia related diseases, will go to the Alzheimer's Association.

The nurse design, as a nod to the volunteers who help run the Gloucester Mathews Free Clinic, will support the clinic that serves the very community where Peace Frogs was born and currently operates.

This is the season of peace of giving. Being able to support the very groups that support our community and our world is the best way we can get involved in #GivingTuesday."
