Peace Frogs Heads to Rwanda Thanks to 14-year-old South Carolina Teenager ........
Every now and then an opportunity presents itself allowing us to make a positive contribution to the community while also being inspired by the leaders of tomorrow.
That's exactly what happened when 14-year-old Skyla Campbell of South Carolina contacted us for a donation.
She was participating in a 4-H community service project to gain donations for children in need worldwide.
Specifically, from toys, to clothes and school supplies, Skyla was determined to make a difference in the lives of the children in Rwanda.
Why? Nearly 42 percent of Rwanda's 12 million people are children - age 14 and under. Rwanda is poor in resources and among the poorest in Africa overall.
Sklya wanted to ensure that no matter what the economic state was, the children would not go without the supplies they needed for education.
Per Skyla's request, Peace Frogs donated 50 Peace Frogs t-shirts to Rwandan children living in a refugee camp.
As you can see in the pictures, these and other gifts brought pure, pure joy to the children. Imagine the excitement to have something as simple as new t-shirt.
We're not only delighted to have been asked to help, but truly honored to have been a part of Skyla's mission.
Skyla has gone on to help schools and children all over the globe.
She continues to work with local businesses, asking for donations to support this amazing cause.
We celebrate Skyla, her tremendous effort in improving the lives of children and her overall positive impact on the community. Together.
